Asthma Cave — Mersin
Asthma Cave — in Silifke district. A dripstone cave known for its highly humid air, 300 metres from the Heaven sinkhole.

About
Asthma Cave is a dripstone cave right next to the Heaven sinkhole, with a total length of 200 metres. A spiral iron staircase descends 15 metres inside; interestingly shaped stalactites and stalagmites are seen in the interconnected galleries. Its humidity exceeding 85 percent earned the cave its popular name, from the belief that it is good for asthma.
The pieces of cloth tied to the trees around the cave to make wishes reflect the region's living belief. The interior temperature is around 15°C all year; it offers a cooling break in summer. It is visited with a separate entrance, not the same ticket as Cennet-Cehennem; proper footwear is recommended for the slippery floor.
